RE: Being reflective and self critical / Buddhism

In RE, we have started learning about Prince Siddhartha and how he became the Buddha. We have got up to the point in the story where Siddhartha had left the palace to find out about suffering in the world, and we were unsure whether he’d stay in the real world or go home to his privileged life as a Prince . We acted as agony aunts and wrote Siddhartha a letter giving him advice as to what we thought he should do.

Next week, we will be learning about why people meditate and what it’s like. Children from a Buddhist primary school in Brighton have produced some fantastic podcasts about meditation, from a child’s perspective. Have a listen and let us know what you think!
